Kadro Launches New Magento eCommerce Website and Order Fulfillment Solution for Thundershirt.com


Kadro improves Thundershirt's mobile shopping with Responsive Web Design and greatly improves back-office automation with integration of new ERP and multi-carrier shipping software.

Raleigh, N. C. - June 4, 2015 - Kadro, an eCommerce and mobile software engineering firm, today announced the completion of the new Thundershirt.com responsive website for ThunderWorks, a Durham NC based company that designs and sells innovative products that bring relief to dogs, cats, and their families struggling to cope with pet anxieties.

ThunderWorks markets and sells its products in the United States and through-out the world at Thundershirt.com. In facing new challenges with their growing business, ThunderWorks needed a new website solution that is easy to maintain and update, better aligned to new marketing and advertising initiatives, and yields a higher conversion rate for both mobile and desktop users. In addition, ThunderWorks required an e-commerce solution that would enable a more efficient and cost-effective back-office automation for managing product inventory, distribution, and order fulfillment.

To meet these requirements, ThunderWorks selected the Magento Enterprise Edition as their new e-commerce platform and Kadro as their technology partner to engineer the right solution for their business.

Through the Magento platform and based on the graphical designs and branding from ThunderWorks' marketing team, Kadro implemented a responsive web design to enhance the usability and experience for ThunderWork's customers across devices: smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktops. Kadro also provided additional custom features for customer testimonials and integrations with Bronto Software and Wordpress.

For the back-office automation, Kadro integrated and customized Embedded ERP and Shipworks software extensions to meet ThunderWork's requirements for inventory management, establishing virtual warehouses for domestic and international sales, and barcode scanning during the fulfillment and shipping process. Kadro provided custom data exporting to make the new system backwards compatible with existing integrations to Thunderworks' accounting system. Kadro also provided the data conversion and synchronization services to migrate all product, customer, and historical order data from the old Mainstreet Commerce based site to the new Magento site to minimize disruptions to their business during the transition.
